Crystal founded CB Consultancy after 15+ years leading high-stakes transformation in government and tech. During a five year tenure in leadership at Airbnb, she led enterprise-wide initiatives through some of the company’s most defining moments—COVID-19 shutdowns, regulatory challenges across 100,000+ global cities and platform safety crises that required swift, coordinated action.
At Airbnb, she designed strategies that expanded market presence, built governance frameworks for cross-functional teams of 60+ colleagues and developed policies that measurably improved platform safety. This work required balancing rapid innovation with operational rigor, managing stakeholders across functions and maintaining momentum during crises. Crystal executed critical initiatives during Airbnb’s pre-IPO phase and through the IPO to public company transition.
Crystal has nearly ten years experience in federal government service. At the White House, she served as Senior Director, working alongside Cabinet members and White House leadership on domestic and national security policy and leading Presidential initiatives involving 20+ federal agencies.
At the Office of Management and Budget, she served as Counselor and Senior Policy Advisor to the General Counsel, leading interagency review and sign-off on Executive Orders, managing congressional investigations and reviewing new federal regulations.
At the U.S. Department of Justice, she served as senior advisor to the Deputy Attorney General, overseeing high-stakes operations, litigation, and policy coordination.
Earlier in her career, she practiced law at a firm in New York and clerked for a federal judge, building the analytical rigor and attention to detail that underpins her work.
